Seven States Bids Farewell to Steve Noe
April 18, 2024

Chattanooga, TN – April 17, 2024

In March 2024, Seven States Power Corporation said farewell to Steve Noe, who retired after serving as Vice President of Sustainability and Energy Resilience since 2018.

During his time with Seven States, he was at the forefront of multiple innovative projects across the Tennessee Valley, including Project Liftoff, in which we collaborated with Huntsville Utilities and the U.S. Space and Rocket Center to combine solar generation with EV charging and battery storage in a first-of-its-kind installation.

Steve also directed Seven States’ partnership with Rock City, Lightwave Solar, and the Electric Power Board (EPB) of Chattanooga, creating a unique solar arbor that resulted in both the addition of renewable energy and increased educational opportunities at the entrance to Rock City Gardens.

He was a consistent presence and force of engagement with local power companies in our goals to develop and deploy solar generation throughout the Tennessee Valley.

Steve is a Knoxville native who earned his degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tennessee. He served the Valley for over 30 years with his career including time at Knoxville Utilities Board, TVA, and TVPPA.

“It has been a blessing working with Steve over the last several years. Steve contributed significantly to the mission of Seven States, and I am most impressed by the way he embodied our Values. We wish Steve the very best in a well-deserved retirement.” -Betsey Kirk McCall, President & CEO of Seven States Power Corporation.
