Seven States Power is an energy solutions cooperative that is owned and operated by the 153 local power companies across seven states of the Tennessee Valley. Our member-owners distribute TVA-generated electricity and provide a variety of essential services that build the economy and enhance life in their communities.

In 2007, TVA and the electric utilities joined forces to form Seven States as an in-Valley solution to finance power assets, expand energy production, and modernize infrastructure. Seven States leverages federal funding to finance utility-scale assets. Our turnkey distribution products and services include EV (electric vehicle) chargers, solar arrays, backup generation, battery storage, economic analysis and other distributed energy resources.

Seven States Power is a non-profit generation and transmission member-owned cooperative. In early 2020, Seven States Energy, LLC, was formed to enable the cooperative to provide an even higher level of service to members. Through the subsidiary, our team can leverage resources that aid in the economic viability of member-owned and Seven States enabled technology projects across the Tennessee Valley.

As the demand for versatile energy options continues to increase throughout the Valley, so does the need for a trusted energy solutions advisor who can guide local power companies as they evaluate the range of innovative technologies available to them. The launch of Seven States Power Corporation as an independent, self-sustaining business means that members and their consumers now have access to a staff of pros with extensive industry experience, dedicated full-time to the delivery of cost-effective energy solutions. Led by President & CEO Betsey Kirk McCall, the team is comprised of engineers, an attorney, and business professionals with in-depth knowledge of their area of expertise as well as extensive experience working with power distributors in the Tennessee Valley.
